HB2086 by Talton (Relating to the possession or shooting of a handgun on the land of the Lower Colorado River Authority by a person licensed to carry a concealed handgun.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would amend Section 62.082, Parks and Wildlife Code, to make Section 62.081 inapplicable to a person who possesses a handgun and a concealed handgun license, or a person who possesses a concealed handgun license and discharges the handgun under circumstances where the use of deadly force is authorized.  This bill would also prohibit any state agency from adopting a rule prohibiting a person who possesses a concealed handgun license from either possessing a handgun or discharging a handgun under circumstances where deadly force is justified while on the property of the Lower Colorado River Authority.
