No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

It is anticipated that the Workers' Compensation Commission and Research and Oversight Council on Workers' Compensation could absorb any costs within current resources.

The Department of Insurance (TDI) indicated the bill would require additional costs associated with 4.25 FTEs in 2004 and 5.25 FTEs each year thereafter. It is anticipated TDI could absorb any costs and additional workload associated with the bill within current resources.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
