Because General Revenue funds for Worker's Compensation Insurance are appropriated on a sum-certain basis, there should be no additional cost in General Revenue in the 2004-2005 biennium.
However, this legislation would obligate the Texas A&M University System worker's compensation program to assume the compensatory costs of accidental injuries sustained by any non-agency employee covered under this legislation. Due to the lack of historical experience during State deployments, it is not to quantify specifically the potential costs to the System's program.
