HB2165 by Dunnam (Relating to the sentencing procedure in capital felony cases.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure relating to the sentencing procedure in capital felony cases.  The bill would require a jury to make additional special findings before assessing capital punishment.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
