IN RE:	HB2192 by Keel (Relating to the regulation of controlled substances under the Texas Controlled Substances Act and to the prosecution of certain offenses under that Act.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code by removing the responsibility of the creation of a list of Immediate Precursors from the Commissioner of the Department of Health to the Director of the Department of Public Safety.  The bill would also provide additional defining criteria for amendment of the Schedules of Controlled Substances by the Commissioner.  The Texas Department of Health and the Department of Public Safety have determined that the cost of implementing the provisions of this bill would not be significant.   

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
