No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would delete provisions requiring the Department of Protective and Regulatory Services (PRS) to file a suit seeking termination of parent-child relationship not later than the 45th day after the date PRS assumes the care, control, and custody of a child. PRS indicates minimal impact.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
