Fiscal Analysis

This bill would provide for an annual state budget and require a legislative budget session in even-numbered years. The Legislative Budget Board and Legislative Council would be required to study the laws and operations of state government to determine how the implementation of an annual state budget might affect those laws and operations.

The section of this bill relating to the study to implement the annual budget would take effect January 1, 2004.

Methodology

The cost of the study to implement the annual budget would be approximately $6,000 in fiscal 2004.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
