No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to authorize a regional mobility authority (RMA) to contract using an exclusive development agreement, as defined by the Texas Transportation Commission.  The provisions of the bill would provide an RMA flexibility with regard to entering contracts.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
