FROM:

IN RE:
HB2343 by Kolkhorst (Relating to the transfer of certain state property from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to Walker County.), As Engrossed
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would allow the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to donate and transfer five acres of land to Walker County. The land must be used by Walker County in a way that benefits the public interest of the state, or the property automatically reverts to TDCJ.The Texas Department of Criminal Justice has indicated that any costs from implementing the provisions of the bill would be paid by Walker County.
Local Government Impact
Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
