LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 78TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 26, 2003

TO:
Honorable Robert Talton, Chair, House Committee on Urban Affairs

FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2369 by Bailey (Relating to arbitration of disputes between a metropolitan rapid transit authority and its employees.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The provisions of the bill would apply to a metropolitan rapid transit authority in which the principal city has a population of more than 1.5 million.

Currently, the City of Houston is the only city that has a population of more than 1.5 million.

Local Government Impact

Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
