IN RE:	HB2406 by Stick (relating to computation of certain legal fees in workers' compensation benefit matters. ), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Labor Code to adjust the method by which the hourly caps on attorney's fees are calculated.  The Workers' Compensation Commission and the State Office of Risk Management indicate that some costs may be associated with implementation of the bill.  It is assumed any costs associated with the implementation of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
