No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would prohibit the board of trustees of a school district from adopting or enforcing a rule relating to the protection of school buildings or grounds under 37.102, Education Code, if the violation of the rule represented a violation of the district’s student code of conduct that would not otherwise be an offense under state or federal law.
