No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would repeal Section 402.908, Local Government Code. The code that would be repealed authorizes a municipality, without an election, to sell certain water districts a water or sewer system owned by the municipality. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2003.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
