No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code, Chapters 81 and 83, relating to the practice of law and the unauthorized practice of law as it relates to limited exceptions for real estate brokers and persons preparing titles in transactions involving mineral or mine interests.  The bill would provide for the civil liability of persons found to be engaging in the unauthorized practice of law.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
