The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure as it relates to the testing of certain physical evidence, crime laboratory accreditation, and the admissibility of evidence examined or tested by a crime laboratory and authorizes the Director of the Department of Public Safety to establish rules for crime laboratory accreditation.
