No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated, based on analyses by the Texas Education Agency.
The bill would create a distinction in Section 21.002(a), Education Code by stipulating that full-time teachers, principals, librarians, counselors, and nurses are to be hired under probationary, continuing, or term contracts.Current law does not make a distinction between full-time and part-time employees in the affected positions.
