TO:
Honorable Kenny Marchant, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs

FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2769 by Chisum (Relating to changing the composition of certain state agency governing bodies with an even number of members to comply with the changes made to Section 30a, Article XVI, Texas Constitution.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would change the composition of certain state agency governing bodies with an even number of members to comply with the changes made to Section 30a, Article XVI, Texas Constitution. Depending on whether the agencies would be required to either increase or decrease their board membership to have an odd number of voting members, the agencies would have a corresponding loss or gain in expenses. The loss or gain is determined not to be significant.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
