No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill creates several provisions relating to parental rights in public education.  Provisions include requiring school districts’ student handbooks to include a statement of the district’s grievance procedure and a copy of Chapter 26, Education Code; extending provisions relating to parental review  of teaching materials and other curriculum material, and entitling parents to information regarding acts of school violence.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
