HB2859 by Wohlgemuth (Relating to the regulation of obstructions to air navigation.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would  repeal Chapter 25, Obstruction to Air Navigation Control, Transportation Code in its entirety. Currently, Chapter 25 directs the Department of Transportation to issue permits for the construction of certain towers over 200 feet in height.

The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in both houses; otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2003.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
