LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 78TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 26, 2003

TO:
Honorable Robert Puente, Chair, House Committee on Natural Resources

FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2868 by Telford (Relating to the designation of Caddo Lake, Stream Segment 0401 of the Cypress Creek Basin, and Little Cypress Creek, Stream Segment 0409 of the Cypress Creek Basin, as being of unique ecological value.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The Texas Water Development Board has existing funding for regional planning grant funds to determine alternative water supply strategies to meet the needs of water demands in northeast Texas; therefore, the agency anticipates no fiscal impact.

Local Government Impact

Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
