No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would provide water districts an exemption from the competitive bidding and other contracting requirements in Water Code, Chapter 49, Subchapter I, for contracting for services related to compliance with state or federal stormwater requirements.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. The bill could provide some administrative savings to water districts, since competitive bidding requirements would be eliminated for services related to complying with state or federal construction stormwater requirements, permitting or implementation of best practices.
