HB2902 by Phillips (Relating to the assessment of costs for the improvement of a road in a part of a subdivision.), As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to add that costs may be assessed by a county commissioners court for the improvement of a road in part of a subdivision. Under current statute, assessments would be for road improvements in a whole subdivision.

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2003.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
