HB2905 by Phillips (Relating to the granting of variances to certain requirements concerning specific information logo signs, major agricultural interest signs, and major shopping area guide signs. ), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Transportation, it is assumed that duties and
responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by
utilizing existing resources.

The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in both houses;
otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2003.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
