LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 78TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 5, 2003

TO:
Honorable Phil King, Chair, House Committee on Regulated Industries

FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB2910 by Gallego (Relating to the state's goal for electrical generation capacity by renewable energy technologies.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends the Utilities Code to expand the state's renewable energy  goal.  The Public Utility Commission indicates that passage of the bill would have a $134,916 cost to the agency.  It is assumed that the costs associated with the bill could be reasonably absorbed with current resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
