IN RE:	HB2946 by Goodman (Relating to an annual adjustment of franchise fees paid to a municipality by certain providers of electricity.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize a municipality to annually adjust the amount of compensation the municipality may collect in franchise fees from certain electricity providers. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote in each house; otherwise, it would take effect September 1, 2003.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
