HB2974 by Chavez (Relating to a Texas-Mexico border trade corridor plan.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to implement an integrated trade transportation corridor plan for cross-border traffic in accordance with guidelines established in the bill.

 

Based on the analysis of the TxDOT, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

 

The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
