No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize a medical peer review committee or medical committee formed by the governing body of a hospital district to compile a report, information, or record of medical and health care services provided by certain health care facilities and present that report, information, or record to the facility's medical peer review committee or medical committee. The report, information, or record would be considered confidential and not subject to disclosure under the Public Information Act.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
