HB3029 by Van Arsdale (Relating to appeals of adverse determinations made by health maintenance organizations.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The Department of Insurance indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within current resources. 

According to the Employees Retirement System (ERS), any impact to ERS would be through higher HMO premiums for claims that may have an adverse determination that is subsequently resolved and
the decision becomes binding. 

The Teacher Retirement System indicates the bill would not affect the agency.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
