HB3061 by Flores (Relating to regulation of the disposal of animal remains. ), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would prohibit the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) from adopting a rule related to the disposal of livestock unless the rule is developed in cooperation with and is approved by the Texas Animal Health Commission. The bill would require that the disposal of livestock carcasses occur within 24 hours after the carcasses are found.
