No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would amend Chapter 438 of the Health and Safety Code regarding public health measures related to food.  The bill would require additional measures for chain restaurants relating to employee cleanliness and sterilization of food service items.

 

No significant fiscal impact is anticipated to the state because the Texas Department of Health indicated that the agency could implement the provisions of this bill with existing staff resources.

 

This bill would take effect September 1, 2003. 


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
