HB3273 by Gallego (Relating to the use of funds to provide trial courts with technical support equipment.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code, Chapters 72 and 77 to allow the Office of Court Administration, Texas Judicial Council to use appropriated funds to grant funding to or purchase equipment for trial courts to provide technological support.  The bill would take immediate effect if it receives the vote of two-thirds of the members in each house.  Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2003.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.  To the extent that some local governments may receive grant funding or purchased equipment, the fiscal implication statewide is not anticipated to be significant.
