No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would add a section related to development regulations in counties that border Mexico to the Local Government Code. The development regulations would not apply to land used solely for agricultural purposes. The provisions of the bill would include authorizing counties to develop a fee schedule and charge fees for inspections, issuance of building permits, and issuance of certificates of compliance. The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
