LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 78TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 13, 2003

TO:
Honorable Anna Mowery, Chair, House Committee on Land & Resource Management

FROM:
John Keel, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3311 by Capelo (Relating to a fee for the notice of a revision of a subdivision plat.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize a county commissioners court to charge a reasonable fee to recover the cost of providing a notice required regarding a revision of a subdivision plat. The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.

Being able to charge a fee to recover the costs of posting a required notice would provide a savings to a county, which would vary depending on how many notices are typically posted.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
