No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize the Commissioner of Education to impose accreditation sanctions on a school district or charter school that does not comply with federal the No Child Left Behind Act.  There are no fiscal implications for the Foundation School Program or operations of the Texas Education Agency.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.  School districts are currently required by federal law to comply with the No Child Left Behind Act.
