No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would set as a probationary period for a person appointed to a beginning position in a fire department to no less than one year nor more than two years, beginning on the date of employment or entering the training academy. The bill would take effect September 1, 2003 and would apply to the probationary period of a person appointed on or after that date.
