IN RE: | HB3421 by Garza (Relating to a parent's access to any school district videotape in which the parent's child appears.), As Introduced |
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
School districts would likely incur costs associated with creating and maintaining a permanent videotape archive of all videotapes made with school district equipment in which a student may appear. In addition, supply costs would likely rise because in order to ensure the access to which parents are entitled under the bill, it is likely that school districts would no longer be able to reuse videotapes.
