No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to adjust criteria for which counties are affected by Subchapter E or Chapter 232 relating to infrastructure planning provisions in certain urban counties. The subchapter would include applying to a county adjacent to a county with a population of 700,000 or more even if the counties are not in the same metropolitan statistical area. The bill would take effect September 1, 2003.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
