No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated, other than the cost of publication.

The cost to the state for publication of the resolution is $85,275.


The resolution proposes a constitutional amendment to authorize the legislature to provide by general law that members of the board of an intermunicipal commuter rail district may not serve a term that exceeds six years, with one-third or as near to one-third as practical of the board members appointed every two years.

If the resolution were to pass, it would appear on the ballot of the general election scheduled for November 4, 2003.
