No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code by requiring the Department of Public Safety (DPS) to establish a repository for the collection of statistical information related to the commission of sexual assault offenses.  DPS indicates there are costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill, however this cost can be absorbed within current resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
