Fiscal Analysis

The bill would bring higher education under the Texas Building and Procurement Commission and the Department of Information Resources for all procurement and information technology needs.

Methodology

This estimate is based on fiscal impact analyses made by the Texas A&M University System, the University of Texas System, and Texas Tech University.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
