No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would add Subchapter K to Section 1, Chapter 12 of the Health & Safety Code and would require the Board of Health to make recommendations to all school districts on procedures and minimum standards for providing quality health care services to school-aged children in public elementary and secondary schools. The recommendations must identify available appropriate funding mechanisms.
