IN RE:
SB146 by Estes (Relating to procedural and registration requirements for certain sex offenders who seek to change their names.), As Passed 2nd House

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Family Code regarding sex offender program registrants who change their name.  The bill would also arrange for the suspension of utility service for persons delinquent in paying fees for providing notice for publication to a newspaper as required under the conditions of community supervision.

It is assumed that the bill would not significantly affect the operations of state government.
