TO:
Honorable Carlos Uresti, Chair, House Committee on Human Services

IN RE:
SB153 by Zaffirini (Relating to the name, composition, and continuation of the work group created for implementation of the voucher payment program for certain persons with disabilities.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would rename the Voucher Payment Program Work Group as the Consumer Directed Services Work Group and extend the work group's existence until September 1, 2007.  The bill would add to the work group's memebership representatives of the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and representatives of any other state agency as considered necessary by the Health and Human Services Commissioner and would be appointed by the governing body of the respective agency. TWC anticipates that all work group administrative expenses would be addressed by existing agency resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
