No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would provide authority for the Department of Public Safety, the police department of a municipality, the sheriff's office of a county, or a constable's office of a county with a population of 3 million or more to remove certain personal property from a roadway or right-of-way. The bill would also allow for the reimbursement of costs to law enforcement from the owner of the personal property.
