SB204 by Wentworth (Relating to the use of headlights and windshield wipers when driving in unfavorable conditions.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Section 547.302(a) of the Transportation Code to require a vehicle to display each lighted lamp and illuminating device required by this chapter to be on a vehicle when, because of moisture, rain, snow or other obstructions caused by unfavorable atmospheric conditions resulting in substantially reduced visibility, the operator of the vehicle is making use of the vehicle’s windshield wipers.

 

This bill would take effect September 1, 2003.
