Estimated Two-year Net Impact to General Revenue Related Funds for SB271, As Introduced: a positive impact of $10,426 through the biennium ending August 31, 2005.

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill.

This bill would repeal the Riding Stables Act.

Fiscal Analysis

This bill would repeal the Riding Stables Chapter of the Occupations Code, administered by the Texas Animal Health Commission.

Methodology

Repealing the chapter would result in a loss of $21,200 a fiscal year from removing the Commission’s authority to collect fees from stable registrations.  The bill would also result in a net savings of $5,213 a fiscal year based on the difference between the agency's actual expenditures of $26,413 fiscal year for the program and the $21,200 collected from fees. 

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
