IN RE:	SB293 by Shapiro (Relating to special license plates benefiting the Texas Urban Forestry Council.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to authorize the Texas Department of Transportation to issue specially designed license plates for passenger cars and light trucks that include the words "Stand tall for Texas trees"; depict the state tree; and be of a color, quality, and design approved by the Texas Urban Forestry Council.

 

Because the legislation would create a dedicated account in the General Revenue Fund, the account included in this bill would be subject to funds consolidation review by the current legislature.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
