IN RE:
SB337 by Shapleigh (Relating to requiring the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to publish certain performance data provided to the board by general academic teaching institutions.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to publish performance data as submitted to the Board by universities. This data would include qualifications of entering freshman class, student performance and institution efficiency.  Reports would be posted to the THECB website by March 1 of the year following collection.

There would be increased costs associated with collecting and analyzing the new data, and storing and maintaining the website, estimated to be $12,500 for initial set up and programming, with annual maintainance cost of approximately $1,500.
