IN RE: | SB346 by Ogden ( Relating to an optional flexible year program for public school students who fail to perform satisfactorily on an assessment instrument or who would not otherwise be promoted. ), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted |
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
Districts choosing to offer a flexible school year program could incur additional costs associated with additional days of work required of support personnel. Depending on district implementation arrangements, the extended school year could result in some teachers’ contracts being lengthened.
