IN RE:	SB401 by Van de Putte (Relating to testing certain public safety personnel for accidental exposure to hepatitis B or hepatitis C.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the employing organization or the organization, for which the person works as a volunteer, to be financially responsible for the testing for hepatitis B or C following accidental exposure of a health care worker to a patient’s blood or other body fluids. Under current law, licensed hospitals are required to test health care workers following an accidental exposure.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
